After reading through chapter 14 I now have a clear understanding with blogs and wiki’s. The chapter broke down the difference and capibilities of each. I can see both of these tools will be very useful in my job as well as many other teachers. I already have multiple ideas of how I plan to use them and pitch the tools to other faculty members. Now as for RSS, I understand the concept but will need to play around with it to fully understand. My understanding of RSS is bascially like a bookmark page. Is this correct?

The first day of summercore 2008 was very informational. I am excited that I learned how to build a blog and knowing it can user/password protected for student use. As well as having the capability to modify comments before posting. This is a win win and I am sure I will be able to get the school to buy into it this year. I am looking forward to the reminder of the week and learning some more cool techie stuff.
